New Partnership: the ACMG

A man rock climbing outdoors in Alberta, Canada

We’re excited to announce our new partnership with the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (the ACMG)!

Memorable, quality, personable Adventures are what we all want to go on. The team, at Yervana, is always working on building out our offerings so we have more variety and exhilaration to offer you! Simultaneously, we prioritize building a safe, trusted community for both our Locals and Explorers. These values are reflected and supported by the partnerships we engage in.

Who Are They?

The ACMG is a guiding body operating across Canada. They set the professional standard for numerous outdoor guides (ex. hiking, backcountry touring) and instructors (ex. avalanche safety, climbing) and protect both public interest and safety.

Why the ACMG?

Both the ACMG and Yervana share similar values: safety, community, trust and education, just to name a few. This new partnership with the ACMG allows us to add our voices together and continue promoting public awareness of mountain guiding and climbing instruction in Canada, and encourage Explorers to be safe and responsible travellers.

Those who are part of the ACMG body also hold a wide variety of recognized certifications that qualify them to lead trips into the backcountry or onto a rockface (and more!). The partnership allows us to engage with and onboard more Locals who can offer an educational, risk managed and safe experience for Explorers.

Moving Forward

As the outdoors becomes more and more accessible, the risk of incidents, environmental damage and misinformation begins to rise. We aim to partner keen Explorers with those who are ACMG certified to combat these risks and preserve our wonderful Earth for future generations.

This new partnership with the ACMG is awesome! And we are continuing to build more partnerships within the industry.

Let us know if you’d like to chat to the Yervana team about ways we can work together. If you would like us to reach out to your organization, get in touch.
