The Outdoor Council of Canada (OCC) Field Leader courses provide future guides and leaders with the foundations for judgement and decision making, enabling safe and enjoyable experiences outdoors. The Field Leader (Hiking) program offers a systematic approach to planning and managing a hiking activity for one day.
Together with experienced OCC Instructors, Yervana’s programs offer a blend of flexible online learning, together with practical skills building in the field.
What You’ll Learn
OCC Field Leader programs are designed to empower students to ensure physical and emotional safety for their participants, manage logistics, solve problems as they arise, and provide meaningful experiences outside.
