What Happens When My Adventure is Booked?

Congratulations, you have a booking. Once a booking is confirmed, you will receive an email notification reminding you about your upcoming Adventure. We recommend you message your Explorer through Yervana beforehand to introduce yourself and coordinate on detailed Adventure plans.

What happens if an Explorer needs to cancel their booking?

If a Explorer cancels an Adventure, the following penalties are the standard penalties that will apply, unless there are circumstances which dictate otherwise (“Exceptional Circumstances”):

  1. if cancelled within 24 hours of booking an Adventure, there is no penalty and the Company will refund the Adventure Fee;
  2. if cancelled more than 48 hours before the start time of the Adventure, the penalty is 5% of the Adventure Fee;
  3. if cancelled between 24 to 48 hours of the start time of the Adventure, the penalty is 50% of the Adventure Fee; and
  4. if cancelled within 24 hours of the start time of the Adventure there will be no refund.

What happens if an Explorer doesn’t show up to the Adventure?

If an Explorer does not show up, this will be seen as a last minute cancellation, you will still be paid in full.

What do I do if there is bad weather on the day of my Adventure?

We encourage Locals to make every effort to continue, as scheduled, with Adventures. If weather creates an unsafe or uncomfortable environment, this may result in a change or cancellation of your Adventure. If an individual Adventure is cancelled, Yervana will help you process a refund.

What happens if I need to cancel my Adventure?

If a Local cancels an Adventure, the following provisions govern the cancellation, unless there are Exceptional Circumstances:

  1. the Explorer will receive a full refund of the Adventure Fee for the Adventure;
  2. the Local will be charged a penalty of 20%, with the penalty to be deducted from future Payouts;
  3. the Local’s calendar will be blacked out for the dates on which they have cancelled so that they will no longer be able to host an Adventure on that date; and
  4. an automatic review/rating will be posted to their page citing the cancellation.

Who can write a review of the Adventure?

Only someone who has completed an Adventure can review it.
