Marketing Coordinator


Yervana is an early stage startup that was founded on the idea that getting outdoors should be accessible to everyone. We are passionate about helping people go on adventures worth sharing. We connect people looking to get out and explore by connecting them with Local hosts who have intimate grassroots knowledge. 

Yervana’s team is fully remote, based across Vancouver, Victoria and Calgary. We are looking to hear from candidates based in BC or Alberta at this time. 


Yervana is looking for a highly motivated Marketing Coordinator who will report to the Marketing Manager to join our team. 

The Marketing Coordinator is an integral member of our marketing team. Their role will be to support business objectives by planning and coordinating content for blog posts, social media, email flows and digital campaigns that excite and engage the Yervana community.


  • Increase brand awareness and website traffic, with the overall goal of converting leads into new bookings
  • Utilise your creative copywriting skills to produce blog articles, social copy and website content which encompases the Yervana brand
  • Coordinate research of key topics and markets in the outdoor adventure / tourism space
  • Analyse and report on metrics developed through collaboration with the Marketing and Data team
  • Assist in content creation for social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Youtube) and in ad creative for paid digital campaigns
  • Approach tasks with creativity and curiosity as we strive to understand the content that engages and converts our audiences 


  • 2+ years experience in a marketing position, with demonstrated results producing content that converts
  • We are seeking candidates with a passion for Yervana’s mission and values
  • Strong, creative copy writing skills
  • An understanding of design and working within brand guidelines to produce engaging content
  • You have phenomenal communication skills. You are able to quickly and comfortably engage with team members remotely through Slack, phone calls and virtual meetings.
  • Proven ability in bringing ideas and initiative, working collaboratively with your team to deliver results
  • You are highly organized with keen attention to detail
  • Have your own computer to perform online/remote tasks  


  • Experience working either within a startup, small fast-paced team or in the travel/tourism industry
  • Familiar working with WordPress, Asana, Mailchimp and Google products
  • Experience working with UGC to repurpose social content
  • An understanding of designing content focused on stages of the customer journey
  • Video editing skills and experience creating branded social media content for Instagram Reels and TikTok

This position is being filled under the Digital Skills for Youth (DS4Y) programme. At this time, we can only consider applicants who meet the following criteria:

  • Aged between 15 – 30 yrs (inclusive); be a post-secondary graduate; be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e. Canadian citizen, permanent Resident or person who has been granted refugee status); and, self-assess as underemployed, meaning they are employed below their level of education, outside their field of study, hold part-time employment, or unemployed.
