Climb the Mt. Stelfox Via Ferrata with Paddy
This Adventure might be one of the last non-commercialized treasures of the Southern Alberta, in fact, it’s not uncommon to have the entire mountain to yourself. No climbing experience required. You’ll find yourself flying up the Via Ferrata in no time, just don’t forget to enjoy the spectacular backdrop of Abraham Lake and the Rocky Mountains. You’re in safe hands with Paddy, an ACMG/IFMGA certified Mountain Guide who’s going to take you on the Adventure of a lifetime.
Hike Prairie View Lookout with Lucinda
This is a fun hike that is suitable for beginners looking for a light challenge. Most of the trail is an old fire road with some steeper inclines near the end. Push through and you’ll be rewarded with a view of the sweeping Alberta plains. A rock ledge at the top provides the perfect spot to have lunch and enjoy the breathtaking valley below. Lucinda is an Outdoor Council of Canada Field Leader (Hiking) and is certified personal trainer.
Surf the Bow River with Luke
Yes, you read that correctly! Come surf with Luke and he’ll introduce you to one of Calgary’s fastest growing Adventure sports, no prior surf experience necessary. You’ll gain the basic skills, safety knowledge, and education needed to enjoy an afternoon of surfing in these Introduction to River Surfing lessons.
