4 Tips for Choosing the Best Pictures to Showcase Your Adventure

A picture is worth a thousand words, which is why we want you to include some awesome photos when creating your Adventure. The images you choose will be the first thing Explorers see when they view your Adventure and will entice them to read more.

Tip #1: People, People, People

People want to see other people enjoying your Adventures! They want to imagine themselves exploring that canyon, enjoying the sunset from a mountain top, or skiing in knee-deep powder. Stunning panoramic shots are beautiful, but we recommend you try to include guests in as many photos as you can.

Tip #2: Quality Not Quantity

The most important thing when selecting photos for your Adventure is that they are of high quality. Simply put, adventures on Yervana with higher quality pictures receive more bookings. Please ensure that your pictures are clear, well-lit, and are not over-edited.

Tip #3: Authenticity

Our explorers are looking for authentic experiences and your adventure photos should reflect that. We recommend avoiding stock-image type pictures as they can come across as ‘overproduced’. The more candid and genuine the smiles, the better! Last but not least, please ensure that your pictures represent what you will actually be doing on the adventure and showcase the location of the trip.

Tip #4: Variety

On your listing with Yervana, you have a grid with four spaces to showcase your photos, we recommend selecting a variety of pictures showcasing different aspects of your adventure, here’s an example of the types of photos you could use:

  1. An action shot of the guests: Get Explorers excited by showing them images of others having a great time
  2. A scenic shot: People are motivated by beauty, and it’s hard to beat a wide, sweeping view of towering mountains or tranquil ocean.
  3. A personal shot: Don’t forget to get some photos of you leading the Adventure! As a Local, you have a huge influence over the experience, and this is a chance to get your friendly face out there and show you having fun doing what you love.
  4. A shot of the little things: Close up shots of interesting details will help showcase what is unique about your Adventure. They show subtleties that might not be obvious, like plump blackberries growing alongside a trail or interesting animal tracks.
